I am so excited to announce that barring any complications, Kelsie's Barre will officially re-open Tuesday, June 16th! However, to ensure everything runs safely and smoothly we have carefully come up with a list of new guidelines that will be strictly enforced once we open.
In order to adhere to social distancing guidelines, our class sizes will be limited to a maximum of 6 people per class, so it has never been more important to PRE-REGISTER for your classes. Unfortunately, if you do not pre-register and there are already 6 people in the studio, we will have no choice but to turn you away. Please also note that due to this, we are strictly enforcing our cancellation policy—if you do not cancel 12 hours prior to your booking and don’t show up, you will be charged for the class. However, if there is a class that is continuously filling up, we will add more (bare with us during this time we figure out our schedule).
MASKS ARE OPTIONAL! I know this is a very controversial decision and while I understand the importance of masks/face coverings in the prevention of disease they decrease airflow to your lungs which means less oxygen in your bloodstream and muscles. We know how important the free-flowing of breath is to barre and yoga workouts, so the use of a mask is at your discretion. This is not an easy conclusion for me to come to, and I want to stress that if the use of a mask, makes you feel more comfortable and protected, we encourage you to wear one but be aware that they won’t be required so we may have clients that will not be wearing them. With that said, all of our instructors and front desk staff WILL be wearing masks, as well as that we have temporarily stopped the practice of hands on adjustments. Be courteous to those around you, if you are feeling sick, please do not come into the studio.
Upon entering the studio, there will be hand sanitizer at the front desk that you will be required to use prior to entering into the fitness space and your temperature will be taken, if you have a fever you will not be able to take the class but will be given a full refund of the class.
For the time being, we ask that you bring your own yoga mat, if you forget one, there will be mats at the front for purchase, but during this time we won’t have “community” mats to borrow.
In the studio, we have measured out spots on the barre that are 6 feet apart, so upon entering the fitness space, choose a spot and stay there for the duration of the class to maintain social distancing.
Once class is over, you will be asked to disinfect all equipment used in the class with lysol wipes provided—this includes the TRX, barre space you used, weights, blocks, balls, bolsters, etc.
We are launching Kelsie’s Barre Online that will be an add-on option to membership packages—Kelsie’s Barre Online is a member’s only section of our website that will have 3 fitness videos a week, some will be filmed live classes and some will be our instructor’s presenting exclusive classes. This is specifically designed for those of you that feel uncomfortable returning back to the studio but still want to stay feeling fit and strong, those of you that want the option to workout both in-studio and online when you can’t make it to class, or get shut out. (more information on how these packages will work will come soon).
We want this to be a safe space for all, if we do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable bring it to our attention. This is new for everyone, so we may make mistakes but please know our heart is in the right place and we would never do anything intentionally to put anyone’s health at risk. Likely, it will take a few weeks to find our perfect “new normal” studio routine so we appreciate your patience and support during these crazy times.
